Raku Workshop
The Raku firing technique originated in 16th century Japan and was used for the production of bowls for the Tea Ceremony at that time

Price 27.50$ per bowl: There will be a variety of bowls and more than 10 glazes to choose from. Let us know the number of bowls you'd like.

DRUM MAKING
Make your own hand drum in the traditional Eastern way. At the end of this workshop each participant will have their own hand drum (15 inches in diameter), and will receive knowledge of the spiritual value as well as healing properties useful in everyday life.
Session duration : 3 hours max. 9 a.m. to noon
Date : Monday, July 8
Cost : $300 per participant
All materials included: ash frame, deerskin, skin rope and stick.
Instructor : Paul- Conrad Carignan, Algonquin (Anishnabe) and Huron-Wendat Métis, has been making drums for 15 years.

DDF Dumplings to Die For
Learn to prepare dumplings as a traditional group experience. Lifang will show you how to make meat and vegetarian dumplings with locally available ingredients.

YIN & YANG - BALANCE FOR FOOD AND BODY
By using the Yin/Yang of food we can correct the balance in the human body. This session will teach how to build a bridge between food and body.

CHINESE TEA - Learn Chinese Teas from a Master
Lifang Zhang, a specialist in Chinese history and customs is offering this delightful workshop on knowing and appreciating quality teas.
Participate in an official tea service done by tea 'connaisseurs' in China for centuries.
Learn to appreciate fine tea as you do fine wine; how fine quality teas are chosen according to their terroir, their age, the season and year of production and how they are processed.
Four very special teas will be served, accompanied by a light 'collation'.
Enrich your palate and thinking in the world of authentic teas.
This course is given in English. En anglais avec traduction simultanée sur demande.

Lifang Zhang
Born and raised in China's Guansu Province, Lifang Zhang is a specialist in Chinese history and customs. She is an award winning historical documentary film writer, sought by film makers, historical colleges, and government officials for her depth of knowledge on Chinese art, food and culture. Lifang has given courses in Chinese cooking, calligraphy, language and culture since arriving in Canada seven years ago. She now resides in the Eastern Townships.
